GTP / GT Supercharged

The final supercharged Grand Prix carried the 3800 formula into the Series III era. It wore GTP badges in 2004–2005 and GT badges in 2006–2007, but the core enthusiast proposition remained 260 hp, 280 lb-ft and proven supercharged V6 tuning potential.

WHY IT MATTERS

The last factory-supercharged 3800 Grand Prix.

The L32 updates the supercharged 3800 formula for W3 with revised hardware and 260 factory horsepower. For 2004–2005 the car is called GTP; for 2006–2007 the supercharged model becomes GT.

  • Strong low-rpm torque
  • Large existing 3800 knowledge base
  • Factory 4T65-E HD pairing
  • Good calibration and pulley aftermarket
  • Comp G / Sport-package chassis context
BUILD PRIORITIES

Support the power before chasing a number.

Any pulley, intake, exhaust or calibration plan should start with fuel quality, knock monitoring, cooling-system condition, ignition health and transmission service. Chassis work is equally important on a twenty-year-old car.

Badge change: the supercharged car is GTP for 2004–2005 and GT for 2006–2007. The 2008 Grand Prix drops the supercharged model entirely.
REFERENCE STANDARD

Master Customs prioritizes factory-era documentation and period road tests, then uses established enthusiast references for service and ownership context. Equipment changed by model year and RPO; verify a specific car by VIN/RPO and factory service information before ordering parts.
