The 215-hp LX5 3.5 DOHC arrives first in the GLS and becomes available more broadly while some 3800 cars remain in the lineup during the transition.
The 3.5 DOHC becomes standard across the Intrigue line. Optional Precision Control System (PCS) adds yaw/steering-sensor-based stability intervention.
The LX5/PCS formula continues, with the Intrigue positioned as Oldsmobile’s driver-focused alternative to import sedans.
Final Intrigue model year as Oldsmobile winds down. The car exits with the 3.5 DOHC still standard.
